So pretty much I bought a coin a few days ago and it just arrived in the mail. Its a Liechtenstein 1 krone from 1904, but it seems surprisingly good for its age, only a bit of dirt on some parts of it. Could it be that the coin has been cleaned? Also sorry, I've only collected coins for a few years now so I ain't sure about everything
From these pics I do not see any signs of a cleaning, looks like the original skin. But wait for the others to chime in.
These Liechtenstein coins usually have this kind of odd luster, but I do see some cartwheel effect so I don't believe it's been cleaned. Very nice coin
Having experience with cleaned coins (partly because I did it when I was dumber and knew nothing of coins), I'd say it's never been cleaned. Just well stored.
