Am I losing it

It seems to me there was a new thread on Campgates posted yesterday or so by a fairly new member of this forum (can't recall the name). I thought I saw that thread this morning and the last person who posted on it was Maridvnum, who had posted a gate I think I have seen before, but with a new text around it.

As with the thread started by Curtissimo in July they got into some discussion about silvered coins, and that sent me off to do some pics of silvered gates. Spent most of the day at it. But now that I'm ready with the pics I cannot find any trace of the thread. Even did searches that turned up familiar discussions over the last couple of years, but nothing for this morning.

Can anyone tell me what happened to it, or what kind of rule caused it to disappear?

Or did I tumble into a time warp and this is really 1984 at the Ministry of Truth?

You are correct. The thread is completely gone and it appears the member who posted it, @Susqu, is also no longer a member.

Yep. He posted that and a Parthians post. Might've been linked to an old troll or something.

 

Wonder if there was some drama involving Susqu that went down. I saw no indication of it, at least in the campgate thread. Was going to post my Val III campgate in it.

 

I looked through my campgates to post but nothing was worthy

 

I wonder if some of that thread with the legitimate posts by supporting members could be resurrected so we can carry on?

 

Or just start one yourself I'd sure like to see more campgates.

It was posted by someone called Coin Pedant (Member) and the thread was "New Coin. Thoughts?" I know it because I left the tab open from this morning; wanted to check later the "SA" that this person said was on the reverse and that I couldn't see; btw, Justin Lee couldn't see the "SA" either and was asking where it was.

LOL there has been a recent influx of new members and new coin posts these past few days... Bound to happen

 

Odd: I posted a Parthian drachm in his post on, well, Parthian drachms. There were some reactions and likes after that in my alerts, which all disapeared...

 

He may have tried to create multiple identities. That will get you banned.
