........for your viewing pleasure. The luster pretty much starts a stops a 34. I'd love to upgrade the teens and 20's. I'm afraid the 16-D is out of reach.
Very nice set. I like how you went the extra mile and placed some nice high grade pieces from 1934 1945. Up grading the earlier pieces will be a labor of love. Really nice, thanks for sharing.
This was one set that I did complete....along with an F12 1916-D... I loved collecting the Mercs.. its one of my favorite designs
Merc's were my first love as a kid - putting that AG-3 16-D in the last hole in my album years later felt amazing. They may not be the finest known specimens but that's ok...
Exactly! Collect what you enjoy. Buy what you can afford. Have fun searching. Never feel remorse because someone else has the same set in MS-65 and you can only do XF-45.
I'd love to show you but I sold everything I had a few years ago....I used to have photos in here somewhere of all of my key coins. Sorry...
Nice job, guys! Now, I have to get my Mercs and see where I was in the process. I wanted to, at one point, do the whole set. But, I don't think I even got half way there. It's been years since I've looked, so I can't even remember.
I started my Merc book in the 1980’s. Didn’t plug the last holes (16-D & 42/41) till 2007. I do have one cheat in my book though. My 1916-D is in a slab in my banks box. I have an old well made counterfeit 16-D on the book.... I loathe empty holes in coin books.
Yes I do....I just started over (kind of) with different series than I collected the last time. This is the third time I've sold my collection. I've been collecting coins since 1979
Hmmm. Sold your collection and started over, interesting. I don't think I've heard that very often. Welcome back!
