People find these on the East coast quite often metal detecting, just not in such good shape;) It's a King George III penny, I believe, not in bad shape. Before (and after) the US mint got up and running, English and Spanish coins ruled the day, along with some State coppers;)

    Edit: or Half Penny, heh.

It is a King George III
Nice find. A lot of YouTube metal detecting shows find these a lot. Yours is in ok condition. I have seen many in worse condition buried in dirt for many years!

By the way.. Welcome to CoinTalk ;)

Dunno. I thought you thought this was the GD forum or maybe this should have been in the GD area? At my age I would forget my head if it wasn't attached to my neck.;)

Sorry but I'm not a Grader nor do I price coins. Yours is common and the condition takes away from value IMHO

With no size or weight references it could be a farthing or a half penny, Need size to determine denomination and weight to tell if it is regal or a contemporary counterfeit. It could have circulated in the colonies, or it may have stayed home in Great Britain.
