Not 1983.. Damaged 1981

Not even the Coinstar machine would accept that Cent.

The best way to learn is to ask the specialists. 34 years ago when I started collecting errors I found many damaged coins that I thought were errors.. Guess what? There was no internet or CoinTalk back then to help me learn. It took me many years to understand.

 

Some say he is still trying to figure it out to this day...

 

Has the type of damage commonly seen in coins run over in gritty parking lots.

If you are looking at "pocket change" then anything that doesn't have "smooth" surfaces to the touch is probably just damaged.

 

The only thing I really know is that l don't know everything .. I will get there hopefully
