I have a Canon A560. Although I can take photos with the zoom, I find I get better pics with just the macro and no zoom (at about 2"). I am not sure whether that qualifies as a prime or not.

I think I like mine better, but they are just about identical. Nice one AJ.

Andy, I use a machinist dial indicator stand for steadiness, and a GE Reveal bulb in a desk lamp, and just turn the coin for the best advantage. Abe likes the light to come from top of the head in almost all cases, and I shoot reverses dead straight on to keep the wheats in sharp focus

Say goodbye, I received an offer I should not pass on, but it's hard to let go, we'll see.....

Much the same only using an old booster step, but I am sold on using dual lights (Reveal) - 1 from each side. About the only moving I do is for the occasional coin with color or to back away for a slab.

Obviously, that 43- is not what it looks like. What is it?

A bronze 1943-? Not really. Bronze plated maybe.

He means it's the wrong color. All of the '43 cents are zinc - not copper. Except for the fakes somebody coated with copper - and of course the few real copper '43 cents that cost over 6 figures each.
