I know it's not in that great if condition but it is the highest denomination bill I've ever gotten to date that's worth keeping to me especially since my manager gave it to me since he knows I like collecting old coins and currency

My thoughts are that it is worth face value but if it has some kind of novelty value or if it's the only old twenty that you have then I'd hang onto to it, perhaps until something better comes along.

Well I plan on keeping it since it is my first old 20 dollar bill

Ah, you must be very young. Old cats like Meow are still a bit more comfortable with the older bill being the normal.

And 1963 is NOT old (at least compared to me) :grumpy:
Plus since it's the "A" series it was probably printed a couple years later.

When the "new money" first came out I referred to it as...Monopoly Money I have some uncirculated 1's & 10's I received cira 1977's I could sell for a premium I'm sure. LMAO! BTW; (1977 was an excellent year to graduate from high school)

Nothing special about it. It's yours do keep it if you like but it will never be worth more than face value. The day will come when a better bill comes along.

    42 years?
I graduated in 1978, do I have something to look forward to next year?

I was actually referring to our age. I graduated HS in 1977 also. Just turned 60. Kind of a big birthday. ;)

So yes, you probably do have something to look forward to next year.

    I skipped a year. I won't be 60 until 2021.

It’s great that your manager is on the lookout for interesting notes and coins for you...always good to have an extra set of eyes helping you.
