Is there a hard and fast rule to know what varieties require no extra fee?
For example, if I submit a 1942S inverted mint mark Mercury dime (PCGS number 511113) or a 1943S trumpet tail mint mark Mercury dime (PCGS number 145552) do I have to pay extra for attribution?

I realize this is a newbie question, so be kind!

I would think they would have that type of information on the website. I cannot answer as I am not 100% sure. I do think if you ask for certain attributes etc, they charge an extra fee for that to be added to your description.

I have heard that they don't charge for the major ones that are in the Red Book but do for others. Don't know for sure but someone will chime in with the correct info.

If they've never heard of it (or ever discovered it) you've been 'had'......
