Put it in the books! Although its far to subtle for the majority, its not a majority vote. Lol ...die clash on the reverse.
You should seriously stop looking at beat up coins trying to find something special on them. All you will find is damage. Wait, Wait.....Do you know what cuneiform writing is? I see it all over that coin....on both sides. What a fantastic find !!
even beat up coins deserve some loving but you got to be willing to learn and not just keep posting stuff and saying it is when it isn't. For example this 72 DDO is beat all to heck but you can still see the doubling .
I myself have been guilty of thinking something was something that it's not but when I'm wrong I admit I am wrong take the example and learn, sometimes it may take me a couple tries. But it seems there are those who do not want to listen or learn, maybe troll or something else..who knows.
I agree, and I see the doubling on your coin, BUT you have to start with a coin known to have something in order to find it on such a beat up coin. I'm not aware that the '73 D has anything. Are you? Please clue me in if you are. When I search pennies, I separate known error dates from others, then go over those "possibles" with a loupe, damage and all, unless of course they're scrubbed beyond recognition. The chances of making a new discovery are so astronomically slim, that I'm not going to waste my time searching damaged coins, looking for something that I don't even know what it is I'm looking for, and I'm certainly not going to waste the time of my fellow Coin Talk !! members posting pix and asking questions about what should best be described as Pareidolia. I agree with you Eric.
there is but the op certainly does not have one. http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1973&die_id=1973d1do001&die_state=mds so true. Although for the most part I will definitely agree with I try not to waste the time of of people on CT I do however try to learn and when it comes to coins it's a long learning process so on occasions I will post something that I am not sure about. For the most part I find alot of people willing to help. But no one is willing to help if they are not willing to learn and after so many posts you will have less people willing to help...yes I am directing this towards you @i2i
Thanks for the clue in, and YES, I stole your link and it now resides in my "Coin Tools" folder. For the second time tonight I must state that " I learn something new every day.". The page autocorrect, corrected my "Coin Tools" to "Coon Tools". Now that is worth a chuckle !
