Among the coins I got from my dad are coins in sealed bags with the coins discription and grade. Should I remove them and store some other way? Do I hang onto the bag?
Those are bagged by Littleton Coin Company. Perhaps the oldest coin dealer in the nation. They were THE mail order coin house before there was an internet.... Any protection is better than no protection. Those bags do not offer much protection at all. Yes, a better storage method would be favorable to your pops coins. The Littleton bags aren't worth saving if you do transfer them.
What he said ^ Here's a great place to look at and learn about different storage options. If you have tons of coins, use 2x2 flips. If you have just a few ones you want to hold onto, try airtites.
