Common date Walking Liberty Halves in BU condition for $35. Is this a fair price, or can I do better, and where? Thanks.
That is a just a bit on the high side. my suggestion would be too just buy lots of melt WLH's and now that melt has gone up they are getting rid of some nice coins as well included.
BU can be as low as MS-60, and CDN lists many in the $25-30 range. Choice BU is supposed to be at least MS-63, and some of them have CDN Bid values below $35. And this assumes the coins you're talking about are actually uncirculated.
Most of the time sellers who advertise coins as BU end up delivering anything but.\ Provided you have the ability to grade, you should be able to do better at virtually any coin show...Mike
If the coin is problem free and 63 or better I feel $35 is probably fair. Held long term, I don't see much of a down side. Just my opinion.
