I have this one florin 1927 with a 1924 three pence trench art coin spoon and this 1948 Australian penny can anyone help
Sure, I can help by taking them from you for safe keeping! j/k Welcome to CoinTalk! Someone will be around shortly who can give you an idea what they're worth. good luck!
As far as value, just silver content. The spoon seem awful fancy for trench art. The florin is a commemorative coin with only 2 million produced.
People buy those spoons made from coins for their collections. Not sure of the value. Very cool item. I hope it was not a key date used.
@The Penny Lady® She could probably tell you what it's worth. She has a few spoons and other items made from coins in her collection.
When you take coins and attach them to the spoon, they won't have coin value. There is silver value. It might have value as a spoon to a collector. As for the copper it either has some damage (verdigris) or those discolorations could be the leftovers from cleaning with certain solvents/ chemicals. If it was not in that shape then .20 cents. The 1924 3 pence has a .65 cents silver melt value. If it was not attached to the spoon NGC has it listed at $27. But they are high and $10-$15 is probably closer. Removing it from the spoon will not get you that price anymore. The 1927 florin has a melt value of $5.56. If it was not attached to the spoon As much as $20, but again $15 is more likely, and removing it will only get you melt value.
