1989 P dime improper annealing

    No - not an example of improper annealing at all.

    1989 P looks like a normal circulated/damaged dime to me.
    Same as the 1993 which has toning affecting it more too.

    Hey fred,
    The surface is smooth with nice luster. The pic shows the coin with the appearance of PMD, but when view without magnification the luster is obvious. When subjected to magnifiction it appears dark with damage. I thought it may be in the planchet. The edge appears normal. There are other issues with coin such as, double die reverse, struck through wire reverse and an eye issue. I thought it best to separate them.
