Here is the new Bald Eagle Silver Dollar from the Mint http://www.mrbrklyn.com/coins/comemeagles2008/ameaglecomem_silver_obverse_02.jpg http://www.mrbrklyn.com/coins/comemeagles2008/ameaglecomem_silver_obverse_02.png http://www.mrbrklyn.com/coins/comemeagles2008/ameaglecomem_silver_reverse_02.jpg http://www.mrbrklyn.com/coins/comemeagles2008/ameaglecomem_silver_reverse_02.png I'm not that found of this design. But it's still handsome. It looks like the Saqwuguea Reverse Ruben
That is a great looking coin. I would LOVE for them to make that the standard circulating dollar--even if it had to be clad.
I agree that this would be a better circulating coin than the current Presidential design. I like the Half better and they could use both. Ruben
A few years ago, I wouldn't have given an UNC a second look..... but now. This coin is so darn FWB (Frosty White and Beautiful)
All of our US commem dollar coins are made up with 90% silver and 10% copper. The same can be said of all half dollar commems from 84 and earlier which are made up out of the same 90/10 composition. The halves from 86 to present are made from a copper clad composition (92% copper/8% nickel) that is the same as our Kennedy halves.
Again a lovely coin Ruben but if I had to choose I think I would go with the half, it's those chicks you know LOL
