Its a 2007 Washington quarter, it has no ridges, and is clearly taller than others laying side by side. The edge is so far off the face of the coin that it will hold a couple drops of water. Seems that someone forgot to finish this one...so is it worth anything or should I put it in a roll with the rest??? Thanks in advance for any help!

Without photos, it's impossible to tell you positively, but you coin sounds as if it's been spooned or been through many dryer spins. It's damaged and didn't come from the mint in that condition.

It's worth 25 Cents.. Maybe, only if a store would accept it

Yup, spooning (to make a ring) is the other likely reason.

Dryer coins have damage on the obverse and reverse too (think bag marks with a vengeance).

Yep...spooned... While in the Navy, out at sea, we used to do that with halves mainly....

How can anyone tell anything without even a picture of the coin?

OP gave a very good description.
Apparently he didn't get the answer he wanted, though.

Cute science experiment for kids...place a cent on a paper towel for each kid (adults are welcome to participate too) and give each of the kids a dropper and container of water. The game is to see how many drops of water they can deposit on the surface of the coin until it runs over. I have seen 20+ drops. Explanation - surface tension of water is so high, the water will actually mushroom over the edge.

Is the 2007 December Utah quarter, with no ridges, higher grooves on back side, have any value?

Start your own thread with clear pictures of the obverse and reverse of the coin.

It likely has been spooned as described in the thread above.

It has been damaged. No way to really say how it was done.
