Of these I have put back into circulation without giving it a second thought. Seriously people are paying $30 or more for a 2019 Lincoln "Floating head" "Detached head" over polished die https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-P-Lin...874064?hash=item1cd5bacf50:g:EisAAOSwUKFc6w7g
forgive me if you read this and have bought one I don't mean to offend but I just don't see this as anything that will hold any value, But hey each their own.
Meow is not impressed at all by them. $30 is a lot for a recent penny that has a very, very, very minor variation. Who would buy such a thing?
How about those extra thickness date 2019 pennies they sell? Meow has not yet found a 2019 penny that did not have that trait.
I am even more amazed at the prices being asked for a number of 2019 coins—proof and otherwise—on a certain TV coin show. Those W mint quarters, for example, that are claimed to be worth > $20 in any condition, and nearly $100 for higher grades of the MS ones. The story about these is worth hearing, but who knows how accurate it is, given the guy telling it. This same barker wants you to pay almost $200 for a set of three 2019 Lincoln cents, and there are equally wild stories about these. The shtick gets old quickly, but I tune in every now and then for kicks.
Well, they are doing their job. And many time they to it to well suckering folks to buy garbage, or inflated prices of minor things. But Meow has watched folk on TV selling junk. It still does mesmerize Meow a bit with the presentation and canned excitement.
