Found in a bunch of hand rolled rolls from the bank. It looks solid zinc and weighs 2.9 grams. 20190719_163539.jpg 20190719_163539.jpg 20190719_163404.jpg 20190719_163443.jpg 20190719_163509.jpg

A scale which weighs to 2 decimals would be more helpful. This is most likely a copper cent within weight tolerance. If the color in your photo is true it may be plated or have had mercury applied

I guess the only way to be sure is to send it for grading.

Deja view. Don't waste your money sending this coin in for grading.
A one cent coin in a $30 holder. That kind of decadence made Rome fall.

If it was zinc it would have to be WAY out of tolerance. If it was plated copper it would be just slightly out of tolerance. So odds are MUCH greater that it is plated copper.

Appears to be the result of high school experiment. It looks like the copper is showing through on the rim of your last photo.
