obviously split plating and all the other problems associated with zincolns that are made for commerce and not for quality collectors.

@PaNT3rA, more to @Pickin and Grinin 's point, on a coin such as a crappy zinc cent, you really only need 2 pics for us to assess...full obverse & full reverse (not thumbnails). That's all that we reasonably need to assess a crappy zinc coin (or any coin for that matter). Sometimes, someone may request additional pics, but rarely...especially on crappy zinc coins. :(:sorry:

You probably detect my distain for crappy zinc coins...of my thousands of coins, I only have a few (maybe 3) exceptional specimens...because most are crap. (albeit, there are many who do collect them, & I understand there are special, desirable & costly varieties)

What you see on the cent you posted is the typical substandard manufacture & disintegration of these zinc clad coins, & in fact, that splitting is sometime manifested before it leaves the Mint. :bucktooth::yack:

I've been following your posts & appreciate your passion & inquisitive nature. Keep up the search & follow our CT experts to build your knowledge & expertise.;)

Thanks man! That's awesome of you to say! I know the zinc is crappy but that's ok cause I have a small collection of nice coins and to fill in my free time which currently I have a lot, I like to coin roll hunt and then inspect them so I learn what to look for and also I enjoy it and it keeps me busy and out of trouble cause I don't want to go back to the joint! I see a lot of different things and most the time I know what I'm looking at but when I don't and I know something is off I ask you fellas! I appreciate all the input I receive from you guys. I've seen on google a few coin forums and read some posts and found they were all d-bags! So believe me you guys are the best!

Yeah, there may be an occasion when you want to point out something very specific that you see, but generally just a pic of the full coin is adequate. Keep up the search; I have a feeling we're going to see some real good stuff from you!:happy::happy:

OK, but don't magnify too much - about 10x is all you should need.

5 times is really all you need when looking for varietys. If it takes more than that to see a Doubled Die or RPM, then it is a minor variety and will not be worth the effort. IMO
