Post me your coin photos so I can pass the time looking at eye candy. Any and all coins are welcome. Bonus points awarded for early US copper and gold.
I went modern and foreign, lol. Irish because I love Ireland, the home of my ancestors on my father’s side. A silver 1966 10 Scilling commemorating the 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin led by Padraic (Patrick) Pearse. His portrait is on the obverse. After the rebellion was squashed by the British, he and 15 others were executed. Their blood was the seed of independence for the Republic of Ireland. The reverse is a statue of Cu Chulainn, an Irish mythological warrior/hero.
I appreciate that. The bride is having some elective surgery. I’m sure she will be fine. Thanks for asking.
