Ok first of all it is obviously not 200..

Some kind of debris clogged that last digit and bacame compacted on the Die which did not allow it to be formed properly!

They greased their wagon wheels back then. Why wouldn't they grease their dies?

If it was a 200 W, you could say the Mint greased Wheezer

The last zero is faint, but it is there...Which of course means it is a 2000
    nickel....Umm, no, its a 2000 quarter!...Yes...That's what it is...No?....Well I don't
know what it is, but it was made in the year 2000!!....Yah....So there!!..:wacky:

The existence of this coin absolutely proves that the moon landing was faked by numismatists in Area 51, shortly before they framed Lee Harvey Oswald.

This is the closest thing you will find to a “dime” from the year 200 (close to the same weight and diameter).

All ancient coins were hand struck and so there was no need to use grease as might be required for the operation of a machine. However the conditions in ancient mints were far less controlled than modern mints and it is fairly common for dirt, rust or other debris to fill in parts of the design of an ancient die. Note the missing head of the eagle at bottom left on the reverse of the below denarius.

I know the “year 200 dime” comment was said in jest but I thought some might be interested in some ancient coin input :)
