I woke up from a mid-day siesta to find these in the mail box. Of course I had to take pictures of them, so back out into the heat I went. I missed out on a couple of coins and was bummed but these 2 made up for it :) If you got any goodies from Frank's latest auction (I know some of you here did!), feel free to share them here!

Perhaps he was getting the easy stuff out of the way first :p

Pavlos You pick out the big men. I'll make them brave!

That portrait of Gordian III looks cool, nice coins! You also captured the silver really well with your camera, what setup you use?

Who knows his methods? Always does an outstanding job but goes about things in his own way.

I love any coin featuring Victory... and the Poseidon is really amazing!
    Now I want one!

The GIII images (and coin!) are particularly nice. Gordie looks rather... baked :D.

Outside on my back step, coin in left hand, iphone6 in my right hand :p I just needed to shift around until it looked good.

    I also love anything Victory!
The Poseidon was on a whim. I'm in the Navy so I figured I couldn't go wrong for the price. The pictures on the auction site didn't do it justice. I'm really glad I got it!
I missed out on the Marc Antony denarius and an Elagabalus ant that I really wanted. But oh well...I'm still happy :)

Then you did a great job! My samsung s6 is slowly getting outdated, it can't make pics anywhere close as that.

Nice coins @furryfrog02 - The Gordie is really a looker. I sat out the auction this month as I have spent my monthly budget on several coins from European dealers. Will share them once they arrive.

I regret skipping my afternoon nap. Everyone knows Santa does not come to kiddies who stay up!

Both are nice coins. IMO, you got a good deal. Compare:

Don't forget to add in that buyer's fee.
I see a reason that might explain why one of the above sold for more and a couple have provenances which might be considered BUT in a hundred years or so when the Furry Frog Jr. collection hits the market, that will be the provenance for which the next owner will have to pay extra.

Nice ones FF. FSR Auction 109 was the first of his auctions for me to bid in and knocked down lot 85 and 118. I’ve been invoiced and paid so hopefully I’ll get mine early next week. -d

^^ I had bid low for a number of these before and after many failures finally decided to beef it up a bit. :D

^^ I bid too much for this but ended up paying a very reasonable price. Fills a hole in my slowly building type collection of Sev Alex middle bronzes.

^^ I liked the portrait, and the scarce star-on-shoulder will go nicely with my scarcer Justin I star-on-shoulder:
