It’s not magnetic, and is silver one side and copper or “penny” colored on the other side. Just curious if it’s worth anything, is it an error, what’s the deal?

My first thought is that someone made two coins, one dime & one nickel, into a "Magician's Coin".

Can you post photos of the rim?

Ya know after looking a little closer that’s most likely the case, it’s not magnetic, would that make a difference?

Mint Error? No.. Impossible to occur!

Altered coins attached together. The Cent was grond down in half and the circumference made the same size as the silver Dime. Copper and silver are both non magnetic so that does not matter.

    Worth? 11 cents

The cent was shaved down to very sightly less diameter than the dime and the reverse of the dime to the width of the shaved cent was excavated ( all with precision jewelers or similar lathe so they would fit with a hairline. Called magicians coins. If the operator was skilled enough, they would put threads on both so one could screw into the other. This was called a "Spy coin". and some say they were actually used for this. Magician coins are common and cheap, spy coins can be of much higher value and interest. Jim

You have a magicians coin. A penny and a dime or cut and match together to make this. For the purpose of collecting it is considered damaged. However as a novelty item it contains A small value. The real value is that it once belong to your grandfather.
