Wow..... Certainly is an interesting design. Oddly, I cannot decide if I am drawn to the design or not.

I’m personally not drawn to it. The level of detail on the reverse far outweighs the detail of the obverse. The detail on the hair looks elementary and the flowing hair comes out of nowhere. She also looks like she is baked with bags under her eyes.

I also think it’s strange the silver medal does not list a denomination or purity.

High relief again. I’ve always been drawn to the 2009.

It’s a medal. It has no denomination. Only coinage will show a denomination. Maybe the final version will include purity or like the ASE it will just say 1 oz Fine Silver.

Hmm. I like this one less than the previous two -- but I still can't decide whether I actually dislike it.

The obverse reminds me too much of the GHS Explosive symbol: 8D776B88-ED8A-49AB-B21B-C736A2764D8C.png

Should anyone care, which I seriously doubt, here are my initial impressions:

    Reverse — dynamite
Obverse — OK. May be more striking in high relief.
Timing by the Mint — Lousy. Pointing my ammo to finishing a gold registry set.
Quality — With some of the problems with Mint quality, I’m reluctant to shell out four figures, then hold my breath for the mail.

Anyone else want to jump in?

(Never mind me. I’m stranded in the house with a broken ankle.)

The premiums on commemorative gold coins are insane!! Doubt I will be ordering one. I’ll just get the silver medal.

Reverse looks awesome, obverse is aweful

The silver piece is a medal, the gold is a coin and does carry a $100 denomination.

Don't like the coin at all. I'll buy me some Pre-33 Gold to satisfy my craving. I'm shooting for a nice Saint.

I prefer a less-cluttered look for medals. And the silver is MUCH cheaper. Win-win.

Hopefully there's more than one silver version (uncirculated, proof, etc).

Ugh. Somehow, the silver rendering makes it look even more like a terrible skull deformity.

Or maybe it's just [current trend of your choice that we can't discuss here] making Lady Liberty's head explode.
