I posted this 60 proof in OGP on the previous page. I decided to cut it out after I saw another thread with links to the axial lighting technique. I rigged something up and this is my first attempt using that technique... PhotoEditor_20190717_192131529.jpg PhotoEditor_20190717_192024763.jpg
No post processing other than to crop. Color is spot on to in hand. Still need a bit of practice but coming along!

How square the rim and perimeter lettering is real important. Just don't forget those surface's tell a story.
If you are gonna blast the surfaces show us the metal movement. iE luster.

I do like the picture very much! You conveyed the way the mirror surface gently curves and affects the light reflection. You also show the texture on Monticello which is pretty subtle.

The obverse lettering is a bit dark but you really nailed it on the back. Sometimes a small adjustment of the lights closer together or further apart can improve the coverage across the full surface.

Thanks! Yes the way the light plays on the surface of Monticello between the columns is particularly nice, I think. Almost like tree limb shadows or smoke...

One of the easier sets (IMO) to complete. Mine ends at 1990. The last page is just some random stuff.
