    I’m so excited for this!

Many of you have seen this coin in it’s OGP, but I just got it back from NGC and I want to play GTG with it.

I took pictures in both artificial light and natural sunlight in order to capture the contrast. I apologize for my lack of photographic skill, but I think that these pictures will give you all that you need. That said, good luck!!

I cleaned up the contrast of that last shot just for grins. I hope it helps.

I would just guess that it might be 67DCAM as that I think is where most would get grades, but I actually think it is really nice and might have made a 68 or 69.

Well, that’s likely true but more so for hard pack proofs than these old cello packed coins.

More marks in general, and weren’t purposely made with cameo devices. Proofs after 1968 tend to all grade in the 67 and better range

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Wow. That is gorgeous, and extremely strong cameo contrast throughout.

I don't see any reason this wouldn't be 68UCAM at least!

PF 67, not Dcam. beautiful coin, but I think on the border between Cam, and Deep Cameo.

    Now that’s a looker!

I think it absolutely gets a star for eye appeal. I also don’t see why it wouldn’t go DCAM. If it’s 67 it’s on the high end.

I think it is Cam, not Dcam. One gets that sometimes, with later Franklin proofs. It is definitely high grade, but sometimes the Cameo can be borderline. I have a 1961 exactly like that graded at 67 Cameo.

Too much field chatter for a 68 or 69, but a solid 67, Cameo, green bean.

The Cameo/UCAM line can be difficult to distinguish, especially from photos.
I also know that it is quite rare to get a STAR with an UCAM at NGC (I've seen one and it was a Chinese coin grade PF 69 Star UCAM).

    I'll guess PF 67 UCAM
(I wouldn't be surprised if the coin is anywhere in the PF 66 CAM-68 UCAM range though).

I agree with this. On the chance it's not PF, I believe it's bell lines a full. At any rate, that's one real handsome gentleman you got there, Mike.

    Here’s a hint:

Yes, Eddie. It’s a proof coin.

And to this point, every guess has been at least slightly off

Quick question...does star designation mean the same as plus designation ? (At the big 3 TPG services) I've heard conflicting information.

Edit: I I don't wish to interrupt this thread.

The star and plus are different. PCGS does imply that eye appeal is a factor for their plus but there is a grade aspect to it as well (meaning a 65+ should not be low end for the grade).
