Hello all I hope you doing well, I have this coin and I want to know what is it and from were, and the value ??
Can you take clearer/in focus pictures? I'm sure someone here would be able to ID it based on the pictures provided but if you can get better ones, it will be that much easier.
Maybe like this one... You can find a more exact match if you page down to Antioch here: http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/philip_II/t.html
I'm not sure what you mean by this. Keep in mind that all ancient coin dies were cut by hand, so subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) variations in both the obverse portraits and the reverses are to be expected.
Looks like a fouree? That is a copper core wrapped in silver foil. Hard to tell without more clear pictures.
thank you all for your responses I really appreciate you, I just wanna know if these coins are valuable or not or how much cost !!
Assuming that the coins are real and relatively common (for ancients), the condition of the coin is the most important determinant of value. A billon tetradrachm of Phillip II in rough shape, like yours, would probably sell for around $20.
You will have a great deal of trouble finding any dealer willing to tie up any money in common coins with such poor surfaces. There might be a beginner who would pay $20 but most people would pass on the coin and buy a nicer one or live without. Great rarities might be marketable in poor shape but this is not one.
