Good morning, Today I am going to Far Rockaway Beach to do some metal detecting. I'm at the subway station at thos3 moment waiting for my train to get there. Here are some interesting sculptures that are found on the subway platform. Located on the A, C & E line 14st & 8th Ave. They are secured in place so no I cant take them!
Very interesting sculptures and so appropriate for your day and this forum. Good luck and let us know you finds of the day.
Considering it’s the N.Y. subway system, I was going to ask if it was a depiction of someone getting mugged, and their head smashed with a brick, lol. The other one looks like Frosty the Snowman.
You have to be an Metro New Yoker to appreciate such art. Anything goes here. Take a look at MOMA.....oh wait. It's closed for renovations........
Very interesting conversation pieces. Call me a pessimist, that's a problem waiting to happen. Is that a de blasio brainstorm? Come and get it, it's free! Someone (probably a city maintenance worker) with a sledgehammer. They will be gone in 5 seconds!....and they'll take half the wall with them! Lights out tonight, they might be gone tomorrow morning! Hey @paddyman98- Recognize this place?
Of course! Coney Island! I got stuck in downtown Manhattan with the power outage. $30.00 cab ride to my moms place in the East Village
Any Zombies yet..... I remember the blackout of '65. I was listening to the radio and a song, when everything stated to slow down. Along with that, the lights were dimming. Then total blackness.
