I just checked the mint web site. It said unavailable and has lowered the price to $99.95. Must be for returns. Nah not the mint. LOL

 

You might be looking at the wrong item, yes its unavailable rite now but price is still same on website. it says backorder again.

I contacted the Mint and was told to put the set as if they are available. I was told that they would be available the first of August. They told me that first come first serve to get one, so I bought it and got all the right messages, but said they would be available the first of August. I looked at the Royal Canadian Mint and they say they are sold out.
I bought a set of two Canadian coins, one was available now and the next one would be available next year. A year later I called them to find out when the second coin of the set and was told that they couldn't get up with me and that the second coin was sold out. I ended up buying it over ebay. ebays price wasn't too bad, but I had bought 2 of the first coin in the set, leaving a hole in the 2 piece case for the second year. Anyway, the second coin looked beautiful on ebay and the price wasn't too bad.
I've bought mostly U.S. coins, but when I saw the coins on "Royal Canadian Mint" I found that they make beautiful coins at great prices.

 

The U.S. Mint does not charge sales tax, the Royal Canadian Mint will charge US sales tax!

 

Yes I just found that out the hard way. The RCM didn’t use to charge US sales tax. Why would they charge it and not the U.S. mint.

 

The downside to this set is the Canadian coin rattles around in the capsule.You would think they would use a capsule that has a tighter fit.
