I am sorry, but if someone offers me the dollar coin junk in change I will politely asked for an alternative for of money.
I carry a few in my pocket at work all the time. They are just so much easier to use in the pop and snack machines than bills.
Anyone have more final mintage figures on the 2007 dollars? I suspect some of the future dollars may run much lower mintages.
In order to carry enough coins to match the $1 bills in your wallet, i think a carrier would be needed. For 2-3 coins, it would'nt be needed.
No mintage figures. But i have trouble getting coins at the bank. Tellers have to leave counter, go in the back(usually requires another person also). The Friday before Christmas i was told nobody was there that could open the vault, come back on Saturday & you can get them. On Saturday i was told they were all out of dollar coins, they needed to order more. I went to another bank on Saturday, i was told to come back on Monday. There was nobody there to open the vault. I called the mint to tell them that i always have trouble getting dollar coins, they did'nt really say anything constructive to solve the problem. I wanted some $ rolls for Christmas for some children. I wonder why they don't catch on? It could'nt be that it's such a pain to get them at a bank could it? Anybody else here have trouble aquiring rolled dollar coins?

Falling quickly! It's gonna get hard to grab rolls of some of these if you don't get them "first day of issue"
coin prices magazine i hope the "coin prices" magazine will add more pages to its current more or less 98 pages per issue. with so many coins added each year. i wish all the coin photos will be seen. the publisher will certainly increase its prices accordingly. and we collectors will be willing to pay for a complete "coin prices" magazine. secondly, i wish the coin prices magazine will updated its prices to more or less near current. instead of several months behind the current average prices. right now. everything is computerized. just input the new figures and it will be automatically adjusted. why take so long?. no wonder few collectors subscript to it. this also applied to other krause publications products. like standard catalog of world coins, numismatic news, coins magazine and so forth.
