That looks like a fine COBOL or RPG report, and it may well be from a program that was written in the 1960s when $500s still circulated.
Honestly this system is pretty dang outdated so wouldn’t be surprised. But honestly who would be paying with a $500, especially in the 60s!??
If it was after 1966, then the omission of the $2 is actually correct. It was officially discontinued in that year, and not brought back until the 1976 Bicentennial issue. (It's been kept available for circulation ever since 1976, though it frequently goes years between printings due to the low demand.)
People.. take notice how the $ symbol is before the denomination.. not after! Too many threads lately with people saying "It's worth 100$" or "I bought it for 20$"... Silly
