Hello, I have inherited my late stepfather’s coin collection, and I’m trying to wade through it. One in particular I can’t find much on. It’s a 2000 New Hampshire quarter that was miss-struck. The “In God We Trust” is missing the “ust” in “Trust”. I can find errors, but not this one.

The die that was used to strike the blank quarter planchet was filled with debris in the letters ST of TRUST.. It's a worn die strike. That's what the others mean by grease filled die.
    Nothing really major.

@Lwalrod, welcome to CT! Sounds like you have a great adventure ahead - have fun with it!

This coin, although an interesting anomaly/curiosity, is just that. Not an error, per se, but many consider it a keeper, as an example of that fairly common condition of modern coins.

Keep at it & good luck! ;)
