Want to share an error wheatie that I recently slabbed. It is a double struck wheat cent, with both strucks off-center. Glad that it got an MS-65 BN. I think this type of off-center double struck is quite scare on wheat cents. Haven't seen many of these, but maybe I didn't look hard enough. I am happy that NGC puts the reverse side in front, making it a nicer presentation. And yes, this is the NGC slab itself.
Very cool wheaty double struck coin. Very unique too. Not many out there I am guessing. Thanks for sharing. I have 1 off center wheaty no date. Sorry the photos are out of focus....
That's one of the best D/S Both O/C Wheat cents I've seen. Dramatic, and lots of each strike shows. The top part probably was a chain strike, and there's a possibility it was struck with dual colllar dies - I see a bit of buckling in the middle. I know dual collars were used at least in 1964, but not sure if they were used pre-59....I believe so, but not positive,.
