    Howdy folks,

Some time past I read an article (that I didn't save like a dummy) about foreign trade dollars that were minted for the same reasons as the US Trade Dollars and were in competition with it.

I know they listed the british, japanese, mexican, and another 3 or 4.

Anyone care to share their knowledge of these, and where one might look to buy examples?

    thanks,

The ones I can think of right off would be the British Trade dollar, the Spanish colonial 8 reales (not just from Mexico but Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala, Columbia etc), and the Austrian Maria Theresa thaler.
