This box had more damaged and grimy pennies of all the boxes I have searched. Then a roll yielded this! I saw the reverse first and quickly flipped it over. I was stunned. Do I see the outline of a strike through?
In front of the head I do not see any leaves of a wreath, so it can't be a die clash, which occurs when obverse and reverse dies clash without a flan in between. The dies are damaged then. This must be some kind of double strike or overstrike... Frans
possibly another lucky recipient of the Great American Coin Hunt.. awesome find! 4 full diamonds, very nice Indian Head cent, sure looks like an obverse clash to me.. http://www.maddieclashes.com/one-cent-overlays/
