Today I completed my 1959-1998 Memorial Cent folder. All of the P, D & S are present. 90 coins in total (including 1 showing Memorial reverse, top left)

So which coin was it that completed the album?

I am just about done with that myself but I hate how they look, all dirty and grimy. Hope to do a "real" collector set is future years

Kinda odd, wonder why that folder doesn't include the 1960 and 1970 small dates, yet includes the 1982's? First time I've seen that.

Nice. Have you considered collecting the proofs from the same years? I got many of the Jefferson nickel proofs. I got almost all of them in slabs from 1950 to 1964, and I'm competing on NGC registry for fun. I also recently got an album with the slides for Jefferson nickels from start to finish. I just started it with what I have, so it'll be a while before it's complete. I think Jefferson nickels are quite popular or should be, since cents are so commonly collected and saved because of their low face value. Nickels are the next lowest value, so I'd assume people would gravitate to completing sets for these coins, Jeffersons especially since it's an easy set to acquire

1982-D Zinc Large Date. After many months of not finding one, I just ended up buying it. I also bought a few of the S cents of late 60's and early 70's. That's why they look new lol.

The rest was filled out from change and some coin roll hunting. It took over a year. The last few months the folder was just sitting there with the same few holes that I just couldn't fill so I bought the aforementioned coins to complete it. I ran out of patience and wanted to get the folder off the table and into storage already. I also figured it made sense to have the most scarce coins in uncirculated condition. So I went ahead and bought them.

Congrats! Harder than you might think, eh?

If I was you, I'd try to find all brown coins. It would make for a more uniform and interesting collection IMO.

I collected the same folder a few years ago, and the 1982 D Zinc LD was the last coin, seems to be scarce in circulation on the east coast.

It's interesting that this Littleton folder doesn't have the 60, 60D and 70S small/large date distinctions like the Dansco albums do. This would add 3 more holes to the folder, which wouldn't fit I guess. None the less - still a cool set!

Well done! I've got a similar collection and it did take me some time to get it done. I'm always looking to replace the ones that look a little out of place. If I were you, I would definitely find a replacement for the 1998-D. It is a little out of place.

Why does this set call for a 1982 proof coin?
