Congrats! 48 and counting for us; hope your married life is as long and as rewarding as ours...or even more so!

Thank you sooo much, Sev, for this post! It was SOOO unexpected and equally SOOO touching of you!:)

I knew I forgot something!! :jawdrop:

I'm certainly the lucky one in the deal!

    She literally LOL'd at this!

    This too!! LOLLLL!

And Sev was one day belated, as the ceremony actually took place on Friday the 21st, the summer solstice... Congrats, @dougsmit on your 50 years!!

You all are so amazing, offering your kind words and support... We had such fun reading through this!

From the bottom of my heart... THANK YOU ALL!!

Here are some photos I thought I'd share since you all were generous with your sharing of wedding coinage (btw, I'm glad to report no murderous situations since the nuptials).

A few from the wedding day:

We took 8 days for our honeymoon. The first few days spent (2 miles from Canada... I felt closer to all you Canadians!:joyful:) along the MN/CA border along the Gunflint Trail.

Then made our way to Grand Marais, MN :jimlad::

On to our final destination of Two Harbors, MN which was our home base for the remainder of our stay, hitting up various stops along the northshore of Lake Superior:

Again, THANK YOU for being a great community and being great friends!

Great photos, especially the one of the lovely couple at Grand Marais! Looks like a wonderful time was had by all. Super mega congrats again!!!

Oops on the date, but now it surfaces that you share an anniversary with Doug? How awesome is that!! Congrats, @dougsmit, on 50 years!! Plus a shout out to the lovely, wonderful, kind, generous, & brilliant Mrs. SA with whom I'll be celebrating 30 years very soon. :shame: Knowing you, @Justin Lee, and by the look of those photos, I have no doubt you'll have the same success as Doug and me.

Congratulations! Your stop in Grand Marais put me in mind of the days my wife and I spent backpacking in the BWCAW on the Kekekabik Trail. Check in at the ranger station, then up the Gunflint to the entrance for the Kek and on to the Bingshik Lake campsite and points west. That was nearly 40 years ago. There was also a time when Marc B lived there and sold Ancients from his home (Ancient Imports). Quite the place that, and I hope it was good for you two too. Great pics btw.

Thanks!! We certainly did some beach-sitting and searching, but nothing to write home about... got some worn sea glass which is equally as thrilling though!

I was up to Moose Lake this spring, that's become my favorite hunting grounds. Found a lot of small stuff, what we call fill for the tumbler. Did find this one though.....
