I know john talks about a die gouge, but all of the markers are missing . Is there a die crack in abes head ?

    Coppercoins mention that too .
All the marker have to be present, to be #4 ....

There are no die cracks anywhere on the coin. I am looking as we speak. I cannot find any anywhere.

This die crack is going to be very minor.
And can be easily missed in the wrong light.

There's lots of markers for #4, between the two sites .

I am not sure that I have seen any photos of the die crack area. Back of head? Is it in the hair?.

Even in a early die state/late die state there should be enough evidence in the surfaces.

The date is hard to tell.... Both these varieties can be the same dies for all we know. This single squeeze doubled die isn't studied enough yet.

Yes. You are exactly right. It is being studied still.
