When was the last time you did Brighton Beach? Just trying to get an idea of how much accumulates, not that you are the ONLY one that mines that beach. Also, wouldn't it be better to do the beach AFTER the 4th of July? I would think it will be packed for the holiday if the weather is nice.

I was there 2 weeks ago when I found the 1942 Silver Half. I go about twice a month during the summer and about 10 times a year. There are 4 others not from my detecting club that are local residents that detect there all the time. I can't go after the 4th of July because of my job.

That's amazing. I'm still searching for the buried miner's stash or a large gold nugget. LOL When I lived on the West Coast, I used to love to search the beaches. So much easier to dig sand, than hard dirt I have now.

Thank you for the reply. I have used my 3030 about 2 hours total and I also have the 3 coils to go with it. I have to learn the machine and find some good areas. Up where I am most places are well hunted out as they are very old. When I lived in the city in the 70'S I found a lot of silver.

It is a lot of fun and where you are there are plenty of good places. It amazes me how people get all dressed up to go to the beach. They even wear there best jewelery. Most of my hunting is in old parks and to date my best find is a very heavy gold bracelet worth about $1100. scrap value. Its a great way to get some good exercise.
