Your welcome. In 1982 the composition of the Lincoln Cent was changed from copper to Zinc. The zinc Cents have a very thin copper coating. Zinc is a terrible metal to use for coinage. It rots, zinc rot, fairly quickly. Just watch the Cents you receive in change or from coin roll hunting. Plating blisters, bubbles, numerous forms of worthless doubling are but a few common problems. Watch the posts on CT and you'll get your fill very soon. You can also learn a lot about coins. Take care and happy hunting.
