Today while at my bank returning coins one of the tellers told me they had 100 dollars face value of old nickels. I was told they all had dates on the rolls. This is a quick picture of what I have to look through and I will keep this thread updated!
These are the amount of labeled rolls of San Francisco coins. 2 rolls of 1940s 4 rolls of 1941s 6 rolls of 1946s 12 rolls of 1947s 1 roll 1948s 2 rolls of 1949s.
No 39-D or 50-D? Picked over. Does that 1938-D roll say "foil-wrapped"? Pretty sure you're on to something here...!
I just looked through the 1938, 1938d, and 1939 rolls and all of them are accurate so for now I will assume all rolls will have what is represented. This is a picture of the first half of the 1938d nickels.
I have to go to a baseball game soon so I will not be able to look through anymore today. Maybe tomorrow I will get to some more. I will also post pictures of the best coins found when I get to it. Thanks for your interest guys!
Minor league baseball. I forgot that you lived in Colorado. Maybe I can meet you at a Rockies game some time?
