Need second look at this 1943 P nickel. Non-silver?

I'm new to cointalk because of this nickel. During the summer I go through coin rolls which for the last two years has been exclusively nickels. I love collecting war nickels, buffalo's, and the occasional V nickel I find.

Last summer I found this 1943 P nickel in circulation and I thought to myself: this looks more like a regular nickel. It may have been plated at one time, or it has just worn strangely? It also has green corrosion on it that I have never seen on a war nickel but I have seen on regular nickels. It also lacks the color and texture I commonly seen with war nickels. So, last night I watched a video about the 1943 P non-silver nickel and I thought, maybe? I have fooled myself before so before I get my hopes up, I need a second opinion. What do you guys think? Any help would be appreciated.

It's clearly had something spilled on it that affected the surface. To me, that means all bets are off with regard to "normal" color or texture.

These days, the most expedient thing to do is to find a dealer or jeweler with an XRF gun and get a direct readout of the composition. The odds that it's copper-nickel are so small, though, that it's probably not worth the trip.

Since it's already environmentally damaged, I'd be tempted to dissolve or file off a tiny bit more of the coin and attempt some micro-scale chemical analysis. I'm kind of geeky that way, though.

@NickelKnight- Does that corrosion look baked into the surface? I'm wondering if an acetone bath would help it?
