I wouldn't complain about the coins condition unless you see some type of circulation and or cleaning. Cool off-center
Here you go @paddyman98. I pulled it out of my Dansco for you, not my butt. I have some random anomaly holes fillers in the back. Both Off-Center or Broadstruck Quarter error are a tight fit in those holes. There appears to be some very very slight/light reeding. 99% of the edge looks smooth.
Nice quarter! The year 1983 must have been big for off-center quarters. I seem to remember a similar post a few months ago with a 1983 quarter. Back in 1983 or 1984 I was visiting the small town bank where I had worked as a teenager. One of the officers was showing me around and visiting. As a teller we used to have a small cardboard "mutilated box" to toss unusable coins. One of them had five or six off-center 1983 P quarters. They were all from the same mint bag, although they each had some scuffing from the coin counting machine's rubber wheel. Each was 33-35% off center and all along the exact same axis. The bank officer gave them all to me. I still have three.
They are with some other coins in my bank vault. I'll see if I can get down there over the next few days and retrieve them to take some pictures.
Here are two of them. One of them I must have placed in a safe place here at the house, and eventually I will run across it. The others I have given away down through the years. The first three images are one coin, the second three are the other coin. All the coins looked essentially alike.
