1914-D Lincoln: masterful counterfeit

    Now your startinging to act like me. I don't know this coin. Never had a 11d or a 14. I'm very agreeable with all members at this point. The scratches by the VDB. Stops me dead in my tracks

    It could be the photo, but the color is wrong as we see it. My vote is for a counterfeit, as opposed to an altered date.

    There's no VDB on the shoulder until 1918. If there is a VDB there on a 1914 then it's an altered 1944.
