Actually, Domestic and Wild Turkeys are both known for this! While I am pretty sure that Domestic Turkeys have been known to do it even into adulthood, Wild Turkeys are mainly know to do it when they are young and grow out of this stupidity by the time they reach adulthood. Domestic Turkeys are also known to pile on per say (jump on top of each other) when they hear Thunder or other sudden loud noise and crush the ones on the bottom, while Wild Turkeys just fly up into the trees and cut a fuss like you have never heard before. This one drowned from too much lead shot it received from a Winchester Super X2 12 gauge Shotgun! Frank
Turkey on a coin? All I can think of is WKRP and the classic Thanksgiving episode and Les describing the ensuing tragedy: No parachutes yet. Can't be skydivers... I can't tell just yet what they are, but - Oh my God, Johnny, they're turkeys!! Johnny, can you get this? Oh, they're plunging to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! Oh, the humanity! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! Not since the Hindenberg tragedy has there been anything like this!
Great show and a classic episode. Ever notice that Les had a bandaid on a different spot in every episode?
