Messing With Coins

Just for giggles, I put some coins in the bottom of a toaster oven for a few days. The cent in the lower right-hand corner is the "control"

Yup, they're toasted alright! Fortunately, the shield cents are no worse off than before they went in......as evidenced by comparison to the "control" cent. So it appears you did not damage or desecrate the shield cents any more than the day they were released by the Mint.

 

And, when you spend those, @Kentucky , I just hope that someone like Gianni or one of his friends doesn't find them and post their "discoveries" here. If so, we'll give them your home address and phone number.

Dollar Tree English Muffins are 'the bomb' in toaster ovens. Years better than Thomas's.........

Coins don't taste so good. Must be the wine........No scotch tonite. I'm on probation..........

 

Yeah, pasta & salad...a nice Chianti, or, what I'm drinking right now...Morellino Di Scansano.

 

Cabernet Sauvignon with a rooster on the label.........cheap but tasty......

Yeah, but that's OK, we're sharing some vital info...I agree, the rooster label is great! And if you pay in cash, you can get change back & maybe a valuable coin if you look closely! (There, we're official! )
