did u know that they are selling unc prez coins for 124 dollars.vif u call before the end of now 2 days.
Who are "they"; and how many coins for the $124? By any chance are you referring to a full page ad in some newspaper or magazine? If so you are looking at an exercise in overpricing to catch the gullible!
http://www.tulsaworld.com/TWPDFs/2008/Final/W_031808_E_6.pdf He is probably talking about this advertisment. Don't call in other words.
I've seen that ad so many times, I wonder why that 72 hour deadline never runs out! I suppose its like those infomercials that require an order in the next fifteen minutes to recieve free shipping (even though it's 3 am when its on. LOL).
Anyone who thinks $51 face value of base metal coins is worth $124 is probably swallowing the cr@p in the ad about "feels like a bar of .999 gold". Bottom line, if he's foolish enough to buy, he deserves what he gets.
Bottom line, if he's foolish enough to buy, he deserves what he gets.[/quote] i am not saying that i would by this, i have a few prez coins and i get them from circulation. i dont spend money for things that can begot from cash registors. maybe i was stupid (big time) for thinking it was a real deal, but as there are guys like u who know better i wont be ripped off.
do u know how easy it seems to be to get theses coins from circulation from a fast food resteraunt? i have gotten 11 from just one. and a SBA dollar, three kennedy half dollars, plus way to many sacageawea dollar, (all from 2000). i would think that u would want to keep them.
The small size or "baby" dollar coins are a great way to get started collecting or to get someone interested incollecting, but only uncirculated examples would be worth keeping, and even those aren't going to be worth much more than their face value. There are just too many of them made. Even though you may not see many of the presidential dollar coins circulating, that doesn't change the fact that 300 million of just the Washington were minted.
He said "Baby dollars" as opposed to the old Ike, Peace and Morgan dollars that were much larger in size.
Have you ask someone on this site if they wanted to trade prez dollars? You can go to the open forum and ask if any one wants to trade dollars(P for D or D for P). It beats buying them from a coin shop.:hail:
Yes, and it is the same thing the next night and the next and the next....................... it is never ending as long as they have something to sell.:computer:
Basically US dollar coins before 1979 were larger(Thats a 1976 in the pic). Since '79 they are the same size as this Canadian dollar coin.
yes its an ike, i myself am i fan of the full size dollar coins, they have weight and feel like something. as opposed to our current baby dollars that are the size of quarters
i agree that the more recent coins are smaller. i think that the bigger coins are cool. i love ike dollars, love to find one. my mom has gotten me some good coins from her work.Kiss
