Well I finally found one...in one of these rolls. All the other quarters in the roll were older than 2018. As a matter of fact, this was only the 3rd 2019 quarter in the box so far. It’s a Lowell. 4FFD3EE9-7D54-40F3-B7A7-41BC5C46DAB8.jpeg image.jpg

Somehow I’ve found 14 to date...in three separate instances. Only one (the most recent) was an Ike. You just have to be EXTREMELY lucky and in the right place at the right time.

Still in a slump on the hunt for silver halves with only 4 found in the last 5 boxes. Searched an NF String box today and found:
    1 x 1964
    2 x 1967
Hoping this week gets better, HH everybody!

    Better than nothing!
My last 4 boxes I've managed to scrape up have all been skunks. Wish I had a steady stream to search.

So when I (or you) open a box and check both sides for enders and we find some, it usually means there are more on the inside, right? It does for me. Including this 69 ender, there were 4 more 40%ers on the inside.

    Congrats on the silver find!

Yes, since there are 100 enders in a box, each ender represents 1% of the total. So, without regard to the actual odds (how many silvers are still in "circulation" vs. clad, how much local silver is available, etc.), I guesstimate that for each silver ender I find, I will find 10 silvers in the box (10 = 1% of 1000 coins). I haven't found enough enders to have a large enough population to build a cumulative frequency chart, but maybe some day I will. It's basically a crap shoot though as on at least 4 occasions I have found a single ender and it was the only silver in the whole box. What are the odds of that! Apparently not that low! My best box was 7 enders and I found 75 silvers so I cling optimistically to my theory when I find enders, lol.

I bank at the North Carolina State Employees Credit Union. I cashed a check for 25 fresh $20 bills. What I got was 25 $20 wrinkled, written on, and torn bills. I asked them why they did not honor my request. I was told that they only got old wrinkled bills, because they were easier to count and they don't have as much trouble cashing checks. I wrote to the NC SECU manager, asking him why I could not get "fresh, new, $20 Bills. I like to get the fresh bills to get synchronized serial numbers. I got the same story, that they could only give out what was given to them. I next, wrote to the President of the NC SECU, requesting the same bills. I never heard from the President, but the next time I cashed a check, I did get "fresh" $20 bills, however, none of them were in serial number order. I think I rubbed them the wrong way. We live in a rural area with a small SECU. My wife taught most of their employees. Both she and I received poor service after that event. If I didn't get such great service from them as well as free checks for retired state employees, I would check out another bank or two. I talked to a friend of mine living in a larger city, and he received rolls of coins for free as well as "fresh" bills in serial number order. Can anyone tell me why I am getting such poor service? My parents passed away a while back. My dad died in a car wreck in 1997 and my mother died from complications of alzheimers a couple of years ago leaving several hundreds of thousand dollars. I have my money in the NCSECU's Money Market and I have a lot of my coins in their Safety Deposit Boxes. I have two and need another one shortly.
Anyway, what is the trick to getting better service? Thanks guys.

This was one of the 40%ers I found. It really surprise me and I almost missed it. I've found several magician coins over the years but all were clad. This one was milled from a 40% silver! Both Obverse's look silver and the edge looks silver. But the inside milling looks copper!?? Your thoughts??
