Aside from all the PMD from being circulated, the coin looks like it might have a few minimal die chips and die cracks...nothing major. However, looking at the year on the reverse, I noticed some sort of doubling on the 2, bottom left. Then, on the bottom of the 1, it looks like a slight impression of a U. The second pic (blurry close-up of 2015) to the left of the 5, looks like a 4... Am I seeing things that aren’t really there? Are they really there and it’s due to a heavily used die that’s about to be replaced? Is it machine doubling? I don’t know what to think... Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Again, thanks to all! My first thought was MD. Then second guessing sets in. Doubling errors & varieties really is tricky!
Check these out. They can probably explain better than I ever could. http://www.error-ref.com/incused-machine-doubling/ https://www.cointalk.com/threads/2017-quarter-doubled-die-on-e-p.297345/
