That would be normal Environmental toning. The clad contains copper mixed with nickel. It will change color when exposed to the elements.

Could it have been plated for use in some curio item?

A decorative item usually sold at souvenir outlets. I remember when the bicentennial came around in 1976. We had the bicentennial dollar, half and quarter plated and put in all manner of frames, acrylic blocks, what have you. It’s just a marketing tool.

I can't tell a thing from your photo of the '79P Suzy B's. Maybe you should save this link in your favorites. It covers all of the "Small Dollar" coins.

FYI, someone mentioned potentially gold plated.

Many, repeat that .. MANY third party companies out there over the years have plated coins .. gold .. silver, etc.

One such that still offers the Susan B Anthony dollar gold plated is ==> https://www.merrickmint.com/susan-b...ted-u-s-dollar-historical-women-coin-set.html

they also offer nearly any and every coin plated in one way or another.

Sooner or later these coins can enter circulation.
You may want to peruse that website just to familiarize yourself.

Those are well circulated and some corroded. If I remember later I will post a MS example.

The 2 being further on some more than others is because their were multiple Obv and Rev dies that made these cents. It is common.

You missed the point Any value associated with any coin is in it's condition.

There are only a couple 82 cents that are worth a premium most are spenders.

I know condition is everything, thank u..this 1981 has date issue. The # 8 in 1981 doesn't look right. Could this be a grease issue?

I am not seeing anything with the 8.
    Photo is a little small.

Hi pick and grin. When I enlarge it I could see the 8 isn't fully stamped or the grease is a factor. Altho I'm no expert I see something

Possible slightly filled die or a die polishing. This is pretty common.
