So I was showing this coin on another thread and started looking at the reverse a little closer. I think this is a FS-25-1965-801. It seems more than just MD. Coneca DDR-001. I took another picture of the reverse with diffused lighting to reduce the luster glare. What do you all think? According to the CPG doubling is evident on all reverse lettering, some with the Class II spread and some with extra thickness associated with Class VI...

Wow! A question about an SMS that isn't a 1964.

Sorry, I don't have anything to add to your post. Just a case of too much sarcasm and too little time.

    Nice looking coin, BTW

I can't tell from your picks.
There should be a die scratch from the C in america to the rim and also a small one from the bottom of the L in pluribus.
Obv. A NNE die scratch at the eye brow.

I will try to get better pics later. Here is a close up of the C with what could be a die scratch...this might be more easily seen on a full sized monitor than my cellphone.

Different lighting. In hand you can see the die scratch with a bit of magnification. Hard to get a good picture of the L. And can't pick out the one one the Obv. PhotoEditor_20190608_195128585.jpg

I can check again. Wexler "doubled die" gives you some good die markers. Have you looked?

I just did and other than the die scratch by the C none of the other Wexler die markers are there. So oh well, close but no cigar I guess. Thanks for your keen eye PNG!

The die scratch is from the upper left of the C.;)
I could tell that the other two markers weren't there.
Just remember a Mechanical doubling can happen even on a Doubled Die. If you think it could be a die state that hasn't been documented I am sure there are other markers if one new the die variety well enough.
